Unlike traditional ride services, Dryver drivers operate your car, offering a private driver experience without the full-time expense. It's perfect for errands, events, airport trips, and more, using the comfort and familiarity of your own vehicle.

How much does it cost to hire a personal driver?

Personal driver services with Dryver start at $39/hour for members and $55/hour for non-members, with a 2-hour minimum. We offer three membership tiers: Basic ($0/month at $55/hour), Plus ($99/month at $39/hour), and Concierge ($199/month at $39/hour with premium benefits). Most clients save up to $1,200/year with our Plus membership.

Can I use the driver's car?

No, Dryver drivers exclusively use your personal or rented vehicle. We operate under a permissive use policy, allowing our certified drivers to operate vehicles owned or legally rented by you.

How does insurance work with Dryver?

Your vehicle's existing insurance is primary. Dryver provides supplemental coverage for incidents where our driver is at fault, with contributions varying by membership tier. This multi-layered approach ensures comprehensive protection.

How do I know my Dryver driver is qualified and safe?

Driver qualification is a top priority. Every Dryver driver completes a thorough screening process, including criminal and motor vehicle background checks, a 9-panel drug test, and ongoing monitoring of their driving and criminal records to ensure continued eligibility.

Drivers are also certified through a hands-on onboarding process that covers real-world trip scenarios, app usage, and service expectations. This ensures every driver is fully prepared to deliver a safe, professional, and high-quality experience from day one.

What are the benefits of a Dryver membership?

Dryver membership offers significant value, including reduced hourly rates (e.g., $39/hour for members vs. $55/hour standard), priority booking, and access to exclusive services like our Concierge and Plus membership tiers.

Can I use Dryver for airport transportation?

Yes, Dryver is ideal for airport transportation. We provide a hassle-free experience to and from the airport in your own vehicle. When booking, provide your flight information so your driver can monitor your flight status and adjust for any changes.

Can I use Dryver for special events or a night out?

Absolutely! Dryver is perfect for weddings, corporate outings, nights out, or any special event. Enjoy your event without worrying about driving; our professional drivers will ensure you and your car get home safely.

Can my personal driver drive a rental vehicle?

Yes- Dryver drivers can operate rental vehicles, but the assigned driver must be added as an authorized driver on the rental agreement before the trip begins. If the rental company requires additional details (such as a driver's license), we're happy to coordinate with the driver to provide what's needed, and can begin the trip directly from the rental facility if helpful.

What are the insurance requirements for rental vehicles?

You must purchase the rental company's full comprehensive and collision insurance coverage, unless you have equivalent rental coverage under your personal auto policy. Dryver does not provide primary coverage for rental vehicles, and insufficient or missing coverage may result in denial of service or liability remaining with the renter.

Can I use a loaner car while my car is being repaired?

Yes, provided the loaner car is registered in your name, Dryver is a listed operator (if required by the dealership/service center), and it has full insurance coverage.

How far in advance should I book a ride?

All rides must be booked at least 2 hours in advance. For best availability, especially during peak times or for important events, we recommend booking further in advance. We always strive to accommodate last-minute requests when possible.

Are there any hidden fees?

There are no hidden fees. Our pricing is fully transparent, and any additional costs, such as tolls or parking, are clearly communicated. Certain ride types may include additional charges, such as rideshare coordination for one-way trips or added expenses associated with overnight bookings, all of which are clearly outlined on our website and during the booking process.

How does the 14-day risk-free trial work?

Experience Dryver with no commitment - your membership fee will be billed 14 days after signup.

The 14-day trial is available for Plus Memberships only. Concierge and Corporate Memberships are not eligible for this offer.

How do I get started with Dryver?

Getting started is easy! Download the Dryver app, sign up, and complete your profile. Once set up, you can book your first ride. If you need any assistance, our customer service team is ready to help.

What are your customer support hours?

Our Live Dispatch Team is available 7 days a week:

Mon – Wed: 9:00 AM – 11:00 PM ET
Thurs – Sat: 9:00 AM – 1:00 AM ET
Sun: 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM ET

Can I hire a personal driver for elderly parents?

Yes, Dryver is perfect for providing safe transportation for elderly parents or family members. Our drivers are patient, professional, and can assist with errands, medical appointments, and social activities. The person using the service must have valid vehicle insurance.

Can I request the same private driver regularly?

Yes! We encourage building relationships between clients and drivers. Once you find a driver who matches your preferences, you can request them for all future bookings. Many clients have worked with the same private driver for years.

Can the driver make purchases or run errands on my behalf?

Yes, Dryver drivers can assist with light errands or incidental purchases as a part of your trip. Any purchase, including gas, tolls, parking, food, and beverages, will be added to the trip fare without an additional fee. For larger or more complex requests, we recommend reaching out ahead of time so we can ensure everything is properly arranged.

What areas do you serve?

Dryver operates in over 60 major cities across the United States. Service is available throughout the metropolitan area of each city we serve. Check our “Cities We Service” page or call us to confirm availability in your specific location.

Do drivers sign confidentiality or NDA agreements?

Absolutely. All private drivers sign strict confidentiality agreements. For high-profile clients or sensitive situations, we can provide additional NDAs and enhanced privacy protocols. Your privacy and discretion are paramount to our service.

Can I hire a personal driver for multiple stops?

Absolutely! Our personal drivers are perfect for running errands with multiple stops. There are no limits on the number of stops during your booked time, and drivers will wait for you at each location.

Do personal drivers use my car or theirs?

Dryver personal drivers operate YOUR vehicle. This allows you to stay comfortable in your own car with your preferred settings, while avoiding the higher costs of traditional chauffeur services that provide their own vehicles.

What is your cancellation policy?

Trip cancellations must be made at least one hour before the scheduled pickup time to avoid a $100 fee. Overnight and multi-day trips must be canceled at least 48 hours in advance, or a $300 cancellation fee will apply. If the driver arrives and receives no response for more than 45 minutes—after attempting to contact you via in-app message and phone call, the trip will be marked as a no-show and a $150 no-show fee will be charged.
