New, local designated driver service lets you try it for free

Date Posted: Fri, Dec 11 2015,
(Dec. 10, 2015) – It's the nation’s largest designated driver service but have you ever heard of called BeMyDD? If not, you may after a day of free service, just for Indianapolis.

“We have an evening of free service on Saturday, December 19. It’s a rollout of free services between 9 p.m. and 2 a.m., and I’m proud to be one of the UBeMyDD drivers,” said SunShine Rucker.

Owners of BeMyDD tell FOX59 they offer a convenient, affordable way to stay responsible while still enjoying your night out. And the service is easy to use.

“We try to keep Be My DD very simple. We only offer two services. We have a personal driver service where the driver will actually come to your home and take you out for the evening in your own automobile. And we also have a pick-up service where if you're already out somewhere, and had a little too much to drink, two drivers will come and take you and your car back home,” said Arthur Simanovsky, President & CEO of BeMyDD.

The service is affordably priced. The “Personal Driver Service” ranges between $14 and $19.50 an hour. This service hires a driver to chauffeur you wherever you need to go, no matter how many stops you need to make. There’s also the “Pickup Service” which is $25 + mileage. The pickup service has the driver picking you up and getting you and your car back home safely.

“We wanted to provide a service where professionals can go out and have a good time and not have to worry about who's driving home,” said Alexa Milkovich, co-owner of BeMyDD

Owners of BeMyDD say they are able to avoid the expenses related to maintaining a fleet of vehicles. They then pass on those savings to customers. Riders get all the benefits of a professional driving service in the comfort of their own car. To try the service, either call 1 877 U BE MY DD, log onto BeMyDD.com, or download their Mobile App.

You simply enter your ZIP code, check out the rate, choose the desired service, and choose the date and time.

“There are taxis, and there are limousines. And we are opening up the market right between that for a totally different kind of clientele that couldn't use this type of service before because it wasn’t at the price level that we're offering it,” said Simanovsky.

The company also say, customer safety is key, and the same holds true when hiring the right drivers.

“We put our drivers through a rigorous test and screening system. They also have to have a lot of driving experience. They’ll need either a commercial driver’s license, limousine experience or chauffeur experience,” said Milkovich.

BeMyDD is offering the free trial of their service to Central Indiana on December 19 as part of their 24-city tour in 12 months.
